Tykoflex Joint Closure

Tykoflex splice boxes are designed for harsh environment. The wide range of applications from communication systems in the defense sector to shore connection boxes on ships. They could although used for the control and monitoring on wind turbines or railroad infrastructure (signaling systems or barrier control).

The boxes are  extremely robust and comply with protection class IP69K. A wide range of configurations with up to 720 fibers are possible. The modular design of the system offers a high degree of flexibility.

The Series 8821 is a dry mate  underwater connector for mission critical application and watertight down to 7500m. Available in different materials and 4 shell sizes (16, 20, 25, 32)  up to 61 contacts.
The Connector pressure ratings are up to 50MPa with standard materials and the temperature range -40 °C until + 150 °C.

The QPC QSplice Field Splice Enclosures offers a ruggedized solution for quick and simple fiber optic cable repair in the field or can be used to extend the length of a cable for longer unplanned runs. The QSplice is designed to operate in harsh environments providing a sealed solution with an IP68 (Dust Tight & Water Immersion beyond 1 Meter) rating.

The QSplice Enclosures can accommodate up to a 4 Fiber, Singlemode or Multimode, tactical fiber optic cable and is designed to house 2 to 4 Optical Fiber Mechanical Splices from 3M and Corning, or standard fusion splice protectors.

Product description

8D ELIO range is 38999 sIII circular type connectors with insert for ELIO optical contact. It is used by Airbus as a standard on aircraft programs like A380, A350, A330 for all the communication using fiber optic.

The flight proven ELIO® fiber optics termini are designed around a robust 2.5mm ceramic ferrule. The assembly is as easy an ST connector. The insertion and retention inside the connector is ensured by a bayonet locking mechanism without any special tool. The termini integrates a seal inside the rear boot, thus the connection is sealed from the rear side without a backshell or a grommet. The 8D ELIO® range covers layout from 1 to 24 ways in all type of material shell.

Each cavity can be upgraded with the brand-new ELIOBEAM expanded beam ELIO® version.

In the female insert, the termini are flushed to the insert surface, thus making easy the fiber optical end-face inspection and cleaning, compared to the traditional dust collecting socket design.

The same termini part number can adapt tight or loose structure cable.
