The QFoca Enhanced Hermaphroditic Tactical Connector is the second generation of the TFOCA* connector and is based on the MIL-C-83526/16 specification. QPC’s connector design enhances the optical, mechanical, environmental and functional performance to meet today’s demanding system requirements. New features include an optical interface with four standard 2.5mm ferrules. The front insert can be easily removed for field maintenance and cleaning. The ruggedized hermaphroditic design makes this connector ideal for field-deployable systems for Singlemode or Multimode applications.

In modern systems the use of fiber optic technologies is indispensable. Products like ELIO, expanded beamsolutions or M29504 ferrules in a wide range of connectors were developed to resist the harshest environments.

Expanded beam connectors are designed to protect the sensitive ferrules against dust, liquids and wrong handling by the operator. Special cleaning and inspection equipment isn’t needed. A main key feature is also the availability of the hermaphroditic design, that offers the advantage to connect a connector to a connector (used on cable drums). The connectors have the same design. Of course, different materials (marine bronze, stainless steel, aluminum hard anodized) and a big variety of back shell versions (90° angle…) are available. Multi-mode and single mode versions up to 24 channels can also be combined.

Product description

The protective covers series offer a wide selection of circular metallic caps for both bayonet and threaded coupling connectors. It provides EMI/RFI and environmental protection. Caps are metallic and can be plated with many types of conductive coatings. All the caps integrate a gasket to completely seal and protect your connector from harsh environments. A gasket made of conductive rubber will be preferred to reinforce the EMI/RFI protection. Caps can be ordered with various interfaces for bayonet and threaded coupling. Both American and European standards are covered, such as D38999, M26482, EN2997, EN3645, M5015, VG etc. The gasket can be made of standard non-conductive silicone, neoprene, fluorosilicone or EPDM. For high EMI/RFI requirements, conductive gaskets are proposed.

Mil standard link chains with retaining ring or eyelet are available. Other attachments such as wire rope, nylon cord in different colors and dimensions can also be ordered. Attachment solutions prevent caps from being lost. Nylon, ropes and other soft lanyards are a good alternative to metallic chain to protect the cap plating from dings or scratches

Product description

VG96918 (848/847) is an energy supply connector in full accordance with the military standard VG96918. The robust reverse bayonet locking system, derived from VG95234, in combination with the IP 68 sealing and a conus design backshell for shielded cable and heat shrink boot make this connector the perfect match for all harsh environments, whether in Heavy Industries, Geophysics or Defence Applications. It offers 3 shell sizes with layouts for single phase 250V/16A or 3 phase 500V/25A up to 500V/63A and covers all standardized energy supply classes of VDE0620-1.

The first mate-last break ground contact is safely connected to the shell. The additional pilot contact allows the use in hot mate/unmate conditions (breaking capacity). The solid aluminium alloy shell is plated with our proven Zink Nickel process und withstands 500 hrs salt spray and 500 mating cycles and complies with RoHS requirements.

The solid steel shell is cadmium plated and withstands 48 hrs salt spray and 500 mating cycles while the Marine Bronze shells are withstanding min. 500 hrs salt spray. The machined and silver plated contacts are designed for crimping.

Product description

The 851 1/3 bayonet coupling series is fully qualified according the MIL-DTL-26482H standard, partly qualified to VG 95328 and used in aeronautical and military applications. 851 connectors are ideal for applications with harsh environmental conditions due to the high number of mating cycles (500 cycles) and corrosion resistance (500h salt spray).

An audible click ensures a quick and proper mating through a 1/3 bayonet coupling system. This feature eliminates uncertain connections and reduces time as well as labor during installation. The 851 series is RoHS compliant and MIL-DTL-26482H qualified.

851 connectors offer a large range of layouts combining power supply and signal transmission in a unique solution to reduce system complexity and minimize component/installation costs.

Product description

Hybrid J-version** connectors got a zinc-tin coated and electrically conductive shield connection system which fully complies with the values of a cadmium-plated design in terms of corrosion resistance, conductivity and shielding capability.

A compatibility to cadmium or other listed platings has been checked according to the table below.  The corrosion test is carried out in the same way as the cadmium version according to VG95319-2 / test 5.50 (this is a dynamic 5d test according to DIN EN 60068-2-52. Test Kb).
